I was delighted to see the boys' photos at MHOC. The children were thrilled about the snowman.
We are very happy all is going well for you and can't wait to hear more about your adventures, especially Nicholas.
Nicholas noticed the "Dragonology" book on your coffee table and said to tell Cole Ryan to not forget to see the dragon engravings (if they still exist).
What is the people like in Armenia? Are they as friendly as the Austinites?
Lori, Madisen, Cole and Austin: I'm really enjoying looking at your photos and reading Lori's very funny commentary -- I'm laughing out loud. Madisen -- you are a great writer my dear, keep it up. We miss you all. maddie joined choir at St. David's and Sara and John are in it! I saw susie last night and she says hello. Glad everyone likes school. Armenian must be very very hard, but it will get easier a little bit every day.
For those of you who don't know I decided to work overseas and bring the kids along. We are in Yerevan, Armenia and I work on legal education reform. Tom, wonderful and supportive husband and father, agreed to crazy plan and continues to miss us, assumes I am going through mid-life crisis, but hopes it will pass after this one adventure. Madisen - 10.5 is a beautiful, smart, compassionate, and wonderful daughter when she is not mouthing off is adjusting quite well and will write her own impressions. Cole Ryan -inquisitive, observant, and sweet when he is not arguing about the unfairness of whatever- is 6.5. Austin is just shy of 5 and is bold, strong-willed and angelic when he is not ignoring my every last word. The kids are in an Armenian public school, learning Russian and Armenian, and like to go on trips to explore the countryside. We live in a comfortable house usually with electricity and running water. We hope to bring you a glimpse of life here, share pictures and stories, and maybe convince a few of you to visit.
